Sign up and send your CVs | OneQuantum Africa | First African Quantum Summit and Career Fair | May 12&13
In two weeks, OneQuantum Africa is pleased to host its first Quantum in Africa Summit and Career Fair - mark your calendars for May 12&13. This event serves to spotlight African researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, and investors in Quantum Tech to a global audience and offer them a safe, dedicated community to collaborate and succeed.
Thanks to our resourceful volunteers, a lot of ground has already been covered towards securing the event;
1. 70% of the speakers have been confirmed and all are from Africa
2. The Unitary Fund, QuRISK, a couple of start-ups and individuals have extended their support beyond financial resources to make this happen for Africa
3. RSVPs are picking up fast - around 100 attendees are already signed up
4. We are receiving CVs from African students and professionals seeking opportunities in quantum
We invite you to submit your CV to brooke@onequantum.org for consideration. To be considered you have to (1) submit your resume and (2) register for the summit for free.
And if you are interested in sponsoring

Mentorship program closes this week, please sign up!!!!!!!
Just a quick reminder that this week is the last chance to sign up for our new mentorship program, and I want to encourage all my colleagues in Africa to join in their numbers. We will close registrations in a few days and start matching mentors & mentees for their first sessions - so far, over 250 from all around the globe have joined and we need more people from the continent.
April 28 @ 1500hrs SAST, at the OneQuantum Africa weekly meet-up, we are pleased to host Manish Thapa, Quantum Engineer at IQM.
Manish was born in a small town in the eastern part of Nepal and obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from ETH Zurich in 2020. Because of his passion to see everyone getting opportunities to get involved in quantum, he recently started leading community-building efforts in his home country through OneQuantum Nepal.
He will share his personal journey into quantum and generally talk about the approach to build application-specific, co-design quantum computers at IQM Quantum Computers.
Please invite all your quantum tech colleagues from the continent.
