OneQuantum Africa Weekly Meetings Today
On June 30th at 1500hrs CAT, we are glad to host Justin Perron - an Assistant Professor at the California State University-San Marcos. His research is in experimental solid-state physics, primarily focusing on Silicon Quantum Electronics.
I am especially fascinated by Justin's deep passion for teaching undergraduate physics and working with students given that 60% of people in Africa are under the age of 25 and the number of young people is expected to grow in the decades ahead.
To these young people, Africa is full of potential and opportunity. It is important that we give them access to skills and education in the newest technologies like quantum to support their innovative spirit and equip them for the future.
Justin is part of the organizing committee that recently hosted a workshop on Quantum Undergraduate Education & Scientific Training and he will share ideas on quantum education and workforce training.
Please invite your quantum tech colleagues.
This is an important discussion.
Register for the cocktail party that comes after the meeting at 1600hrs CAT for one on one networking.
See you at OneQuantum Africa where we build strong local communities connected to the global quantum tech ecosystem - watch this space for some exciting updates next week!!!
I hope you are having a great week.
Farai Mazhandu | President | OneQuantum Africa
