Updates and ideas
Thanks to Prof. Francesco Petruccione for coming to be with us at OneQuantum Africa weekly meeting last Wednesday. We had a great time and learned a lot on how to move quantum forward in Africa.
Here are a few key takeaways
➡️ Quantum needs young people in Africa to come together and speak with one voice
➡️ Young people need to take advantage of communities to learn, collaborate, and exchange ideas to make fast progress
➡️ Contribution to quantum is now possible from any location thanks to cloud access of quantum computers and open-source resources
➡️ We need to drive awareness of quantum tech in the continent so that leaders and organizations get quantum ready
➡️ Africa also has a big early opportunity in quantum sensing and quantum communications
➡️ Think BIG and build startups in quantum. We need that to solve our unique problems in the continent
