OneQuantum Africa Guest Today - Andrew Forbes, Director of WitsQ and Distinguished Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand
Andrew was recently appointed as the Director of the Wits Quantum Initiative (WitsQ), a forum for quantum scientists across the continent to connect. He will talk about quantum research at Wits and his vision for quantum technologies in Africa.
Quantum Information Science will build foundational technologies that will affect all of our industries & goals in the near future - see this recent report.
Quantum tech is important not only in the future but today. There is so much we can learn together on this journey and we are just getting started.
3 Reasons Why You'll Win By Attending the OneQuantum Africa meeting today
This is an open opportunity to learn why quantum technologies will become a key tool in many industries, just like yours. A lot of work, research, and collaboration is happening in Africa in this field, and application-ready results have been recorded.
It’s always a good move to take advantage of timing and in this case, the timing couldn’t be better as this game-changing technology is now moving from the lab to the mainstream.
If you are new to this field then this is a great opportunity to make important connections that can help you get started. Whilst our events are focused on Africa, we have people from around the globe joining us with whom you can collaborate, learn and exchange.
The cocktail is a great way to conclude our meetings and we keep getting kind comments for hosting it. Join us for this great opportunity to have one-on-one networking sessions. Make sure you sign up here.
This event is inclusive and open to anyone who is interested. Please share this note with your friends, and encourage them to attend!
I encourage you to share your news and asks here ⚠️ FEEDBACK FORM⚠️ - it takes only 2 mins and that will help us improve and set things up in a way that works best for everyone. Let me know if there is a better way to provide us with feedback.
Looking forward to your feedback.
See you at www.onequantum.org/africa for more community, mentorship, careers, and projects.
Hope to see most of you today at the meeting!
